Eighteen scholars join second wave of CIVICA Short Visits

22-11-2023

In a bid to enhance collaboration, accelerate research initiatives, and strengthen ties across member institutions, the second round of CIVICA Faculty Short Visits is set to commence this December. Eighteen esteemed professors and postdoctoral researchers have been chosen to participate in this unique programme, facilitating academic exchange within the CIVICA alliance.

The initiative encourages faculty and postdoctoral researchers from various CIVICA member institutions to engage in cross-institutional visits, thereby fostering collaborative activities, research advancements, and the establishment of new partnerships. The selected candidates submitted comprehensive proposals outlining the purpose and goals of their intended visits, encompassing a diverse array of academic initiatives.

The selection committee, comprised of vice-presidents for research and senior faculty members from across the alliance, meticulously evaluated the proposals based on scientific merit and the potential impact on ongoing research endeavors. The chosen participants represent a balanced mix of sending and receiving institutions, promising to build new collaborations and enrich the academic landscape within the CIVICA alliance.

Below is a list of the selected professors and postdoctoral researchers, along with their home institutions and the institutions they will be visiting:
