The social sciences play a vital role in tackling the economic and societal challenges brought about by the novel coronavirus. In the CIVICA alliance, experts and communities from eight European higher education institutions in the social sciences work collaboratively across disciplines and borders to produce valuable knowledge and action in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The research outputs, expert insights, media features and examples of community involvement collected on this page promote a deeper understanding of the impacts of the pandemic, encourage an open dialogue at all levels of society, and support policymakers in crafting evidence-based responses.
