CIVICA Teacher Development Programme

CIVICA Teacher Development Programme

Doctoral and post-doctoral researchers from across the CIVICA alliance are invited to complete the CIVICA Teacher Development Programme (TDP). The Teacher Development Programme aims to enable early-stage researchers to participate in a cross-institutional teacher development programme to develop their skills and expertise as teachers in higher education.

This is a unique opportunity for early-stage researchers to prepare for the academic job market by strengthening their teaching skills. Join one of the upcoming courses to learn to organise an effective course plan, how to make the most of teaching in the current digital era, fostering engagement and discourse in the classroom, and much more.

The teacher development sessions will be held online or in hybrid mode on a range of themes at various CIVICA partner universities. Participants who complete at least 16 hours of sessions will be awarded a Certificate of Participation. Please note that completing the TDP can be done over multiple academic years but must be completed before participants finish their doctoral or post-doctoral programme.

The first offering of the TDP runs from January - June 2024. The second offering will run in the academic year 2024/2025 and will be published in the late spring. Participation in this programme is free!
