Become a CIVICA Ambassador for 2025/26

As an ambassador you will:

• Connect with like-minded students and early-stage researchers across Europe
• Gain international experience in a vibrant academic and civic environment
• Launch and lead collaborative projects
• Represent your university and CIVICA at events
• Receive visibility through CIVICA’s platforms and networking opportunities

As an Ambassador, you will:

• Promote CIVICA’s opportunities, events and values on your campus
• Engage peers as a first point of contact for CIVICA
• Co-create: Propose and lead your own projects or contribute to ongoing initiatives
• Collaborate in online meetings and an annual in-person workshop (hosted at SGH Warsaw)
• Participate in civic engagement activities and contribute to key alliance discussions
• Support CIVICA’s events, communications and outreach efforts

Previous cohorts have made a mark by:

• Launching the CIVICA Ambassadors Guide
• Publishing visionary briefs for the futurEU Competition
• Contributing to the CIVICA for Ukraine initiative
• Publishing reports on the Future of Europe and the Eurozone
• Founding Doctoral Research Groups, an initiative to connect PhDs and postdocs around research areas of interest
• Launching the Green CIVICA sustainability project
• Creating and hosting the podcast Over to Europe
• Supporting CIVICA European Weeks
• Running the @civica.ambassadors Instagram account
• Representing CIVICA at events like the European Student Assembly, VivaTech and more

We welcome applications from any:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or (post)doctoral student enrolled at one of the 10 CIVICA universities (until at least spring semester 2026)
• Passionate about collaboration, civic engagement and European cooperation
• Active in your academic or local community

• promote CIVICA’s mission, opportunities and events on your campus and beyond
• act as a first point of contact for CIVICA for your peers and an informal voice of the alliance (e.g. provide testimonials)
• propose bottom-up projects or participate in existing ones
• participate in regular online meetings with the other Ambassadors and with the CIVICA representatives
• participate in an in-person workshop with all Ambassadors hosted by the SGH Warsaw School of Economics
• participate in civic engagement and dissemination activities and occasionally participate in CIVICA’s work package meetings to bring your perspective
• help with the organisation of other CIVICA events and initiatives

Expected time commitment: max. 15h/month
