The aim of the snowball seminars organised under CIVICA Research is to create cumulative insight and learning that will ultimately lead to the development of a joint research strategy.
Scholars in different disciplines from the eight CIVICA member universities present their views and shape a common research agenda on a topic related to CIVICA's four focus areas:
- Societies in Transition; Crises of Earth
- Democracy in the 21st Century
- Europe Revisited
- Data-Driven Technologies for the Social Sciences
The bottom-up format of the snowball seminars allows the participants to define emerging research agendas, agree on future action plans, and establish pathways to desirable outcomes.
