How can research assessment become more transparent, responsible and inclusive? As part of Open Access Week 2026, Bocconi University Library & Archives, in partnership with IE University Library and the CIVICA European University alliance, is hosting an online event exploring how Open Science is reshaping the evaluation of research and researchers.
The programme will explore international initiatives such as the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), developments in Italy, and the infrastructures supporting new approaches to research evaluation. Speakers will discuss how institutions can move towards more responsible ways of recognising academic merit, followed by a roundtable discussion.
