Join the first seminar in the newCIVICA Transconnect Research Seminar Series, exploring the forced migration of Ukrainians from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The series examines the many dimensions of displacement, mobility and integration of Ukrainian refugees, bringing together researchers and other interested participants to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging research and develop new questions and collaborations.
First seminar: Mental health and integration of Ukrainian forced migrants
For the first session, we welcome Viktoriia Thander (Help Ukraine Gothenburg), who will explore the connection between mental health and integration among Ukrainian forced migrants.
Drawing on Help Ukraine Gothenburg’s work with Ukrainians in Sweden, the presentation will examine the mental health challenges and related risks faced by Ukrainian forced migrants, the relationship between mental well-being and integration, and how both are shaped by the complex realities of displacement and forced transnationality.
The session will be followed by discussion and exchange with participants.

About the seminar series
The CIVICA Transconnect Research Seminar Series takes place monthly online from 12:00 to 14:00. Each session provides space for presentations, discussion and the development of new research questions and collaborations.
The series is led by Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) within the CIVICA Research Hub TRANSCONNECT, in cooperation with all Hub partners.
