Can we reimagine scholarly communication?

Join CIVICA Research Open Science for a workshop exploring experimental and computational approaches to academic publishing.

Janneke Adema (Coventry University) and Simon Worthington (Open Science Lab, TIB) will introduce experimental and computational academic publishing, exploring how new approaches can challenge and redefine the form and function of scholarly books in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

The workshop will introduce the Experimental Publishing Compendium, a guide for scholars, publishers, developers, librarians and designers interested in exploring new forms of scholarly publishing. It will also showcase computational publishing pilots from the COPIM and Open Book Futures projects.

The second half of the workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to creating a Linked Open Exhibitioncatalogue based on NFDI4Culture research.
