Artificial Intelligence (AI) has recently made significant inroads into the financial sector and within financial and monetary authorities. AI holds the potential to enhance both market operations and the daily functions of central banks and financial supervisors through improved forecasting, monitoring, and risk assessment. However, these technological advancements introduce common challenges across the financial ecosystem, including potential risks of financial instability and algorithmic biases that must be carefully managed and regulated.
This workshop is a post-conference workshop for young scholars, following the Banque de France AI Methods Conference 2025, which will take place on the 27-28 October 2025.
The workshop will address the following research topics:
- Use-Cases of AI in Central Banking and financial supervision.
- The use of AI and GenAI in banking, asset management and payments.
- Regulatory challenges and ethical considerations of AI in central banking and finance.
- LLM-based analysis of financial authorities and markets data.
