The CIVICA European Week is an annual academic event for undergraduate students from across the CIVICA alliance. Each year, it takes place at a different CIVICA university, with programmes designed to foster dialogue, civic engagement and European cooperation.

Are you an undergraduate student looking to engage with European social issues, collaborative learning and hands-on projects? The CIVICA European Week offers a unique opportunity to connect with students across Europe and participate in immersive, project-based learning experiences.

At a Glance

The CIVICA European Week is a three-day annual event hosted by one of the CIVICA partner universities. It is a central part of the CIVICA Engage Track, providing students with both a stand-alone experience and a stepping stone for broader academic and civic engagement.

Participants explore contemporary European challenges through a combination of lectures, workshops, fieldwork, and community projects. The program is designed to deepen understanding of European social, political, and cultural issues while fostering collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds.

Students participating in European Week can:

  • Engage with pressing social and civic issues alongside like-minded peers.
  • Learn at leading European institutions and gain international perspectives.
  • Participate in a mix of fieldwork, mentoring sessions, guest lectures, panel discussions and team projects.
  • Earn an Attendance Certificate upon completion of program assignments.

European Week 2026

The 2026 edition, hosted by IE University, will continue to explore contemporary European challenges through active student participation, interdisciplinary learning, and civic engagement projects. Students will have the opportunity to network with peers, faculty, and local community partners.
