About CIVICA European Week 2026

The CIVICA European Week 2026 is a week-long academic event for undergraduate students from across the CIVICA alliance. This year's theme is: European Competitiveness

Europe is currently navigating a critical period characterized by rapid technological change and intensifying geostrategic competition. During this week, students will collaborate to design a new European market framework intended to help European Institutions boost competitiveness.

Communication Strategy

Beyond the framework design, students will develop a communication strategy aimed at European citizens. This strategy will showcase the necessary steps for the EU to remain a relevant player within a multipolar world.

Daily Programme

The event is structured around four core days of learning and development:

  • Day 1 | Financial Markets: Students will learn about the incomplete Capital Markets Union and the importance of enabling European champions.
  • Day 2 | Energy Sustainability: Students will learn about the current state of European dependency and will be asked to consider changes to foster efficient energy-climate policies.
  • Day 3 | Innovation & Connectivity: Students will learn about the existing logistical and political barriers and the importance of enhancing a new framework for Europe’s digital transformation.
  • Day 4 | Proposals: During the morning session, students will present their strategic proposals with a mentor.
