Bringing students' ideas to life
27-01-2025
Congratulations to the students whose projects have been selected for funding in the first round of the Student Engagement Fund! Thirteen projects spanning nine of our institutions have been chosen for implementation this academic year.
The Student Engagement Fund (SEF) is a mini-grant funding scheme which students and early-stage researchers (ESRs) across the alliance could apply for, in order to implement joint initiatives within the alliance. The goal is to foster collaboration across campuses, bringing together student associations, students, and ESRs from different disciplines and backgrounds who have a goal of tackling the important issues facing Europe today.
Projects span a wide range of issues and topics; from women’s rights and femicide, to addressing the challenges of AI governance, to examining the relationship between transitional justice and the environment.
In order to apply for the SEF, applicants had to draft a project proposal including a detailed budget breakdown of costs by institution. This allowed them to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of their idea. This initiative gives students a chance to enhance their experiences while pursuing their degrees. They have the opportunity to expand their network across Europe, work on solving relevant issues, as well as build the skills to implement a project from conception to completion.
Stay tuned to keep updated on all the projects!
