Multi-campus course: The Future of Europe

Multi-campus course: The Future of Europe

The Multicampus Course “The Future of Europe”, coordinated by Professor Carlo Altomonte (Bocconi) examines and critically explores the major challenges facing the future of Europe with particular emphasis on globalisation, democracy, innovation and digitalisation, climate change and the green transition as well as the dynamics characterising European Union policy responses in times of crisis.

On top of a series of live online lectures held in turns by instructors from the CIVICA alliance grouped in four thematic modules and integrated with local activities, the course spurs students to work in transnational teams to complete a capstone assignment: develop policy solutions to EU-relevant policy problems.

More than 370 students across the CIVICA alliance have benefitted from this cross-border interdisciplinary experience at the heart of EU policy challenges over the past three editions. The fourth edition (A.Y. 2024/2025, Fall Semester) starts in September 2024.
