Call for Posters 2022

Call for Posters 2022

CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences calls for posters to exhibit at the CIVICA Research Conference, taking place at Central European University on 1-2 September 2022 in Budapest (Hungary).

The posters should be related but not limited to CIVICA’s four research themes:

  • Societies in Transition, Crises of Earth
  • Democracy in the 21st Century
  • Europe Revisited
  • Data-Driven Technologies for the Social Sciences

Applications from disciplines in the humanities, and/or posters from the fields of economics and political economy are strongly encouraged.

The initiative aims to showcase some of their latest research in these fields, and to build the nodes of future cooperation between CIVICA's research teams and networks.

Eligibility and award

PhD and (post)doctoral researchers from the eight CIVICA member universities can submit a poster to share their findings with peers working in the social sciences from across Europe. Around 100 participants are expected to take part in the conference.

The posters should highlight research results of current projects. Individual PhD and (post)doctoral researchers are eligible to apply. One author per project of the selected posters will be invited to attend the conference in Budapest – travel costs and accommodation are covered by their home institutions.

The selected posters will be exhibited on both days of the conference in the foyer of CEU’s campus in Budapest, and the authors will have the chance to present their posters at a dedicated session. The best poster will receive a prize on the conference's second day. In addition, selected projects may also be featured on the CIVICA channels.

Interested PhD and (post)doctoral researchers must submit an abstract and a draft poster.
